• The Centre for Ignatian Spirituality is holding a residential retreat between October 17 and 19 at Mount St Joseph, Tarġa Gap, Mosta. Participants will be individually guided by trained and experienced lay guides. There will be time for personal prayer and sharing within the group. Attendance is open to all.

The centre is also organising a residential retreat for married couples led by Fr Vince Magri, SJ, between October 17 and 19 at Manresa House, Victoria.

Time will be allocated for personal prayer and for prayer as a couple. Towards the end of the retreat, the couples will be able to renew their marriage vows.

• Timmy Gambin will be delivering a talk entitled ‘Lost and found: the re-discovery of Malta’s underwater cultural heritage’ at Din l-Art Ħelwa, 133, Melita Street, Valletta, on Thursday at 6.30pm.

• The collective art exhibition The Gran Soccorso – Today’s Artists to the Rescue, launching Din l-Art Ħelwa’s 50th anniversary, will be open to the public at the President’s Room, Casino Maltese, on October 15, 16 and 17 from 8.30am to 6pm and on October 18 from 9.30am to3.30pm.

• On the occasion of Italy’s EU presidency, DLĦ, in collaboration with the Italian embassy and Italian Cultural Institute, will be holding a talk by expert conservators Sante Guido and Giuseppe Mantella entitled Arte Italiana – Patrimonio Maltese/Arte Maltese – Patrimonio Italiano.

The talk, which is free, will be held on October 16 at 6.30pm at the Casino Maltese, Valletta.

• A seminar for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one in their lives will be held next Sunday at St Joseph Rest House, Rabat (opposite St Domenic’s church). Social worker, spiritual guide and grief recovery method specialist Bernadette Briffa will be facilitating the seminar.

• Artist Louis McKeon will be having an exhibition themed ‘Il-Kampanja’ (The Countryside) at Ir-Razzett tal-Markiż Mallia Tabone in Mosta between October 26 and November 9.

McKeon experiments with different media to produce original works and ideas that open a window on his emotions. His works can be found in private art collections both in Malta and abroad. He lives and works in Mellieħa.

• The Our Lady of Consecration Movement committee will be holding a prayer meeting at Girgenti, Siġġiewi today at 5pm (www.ourladyofconsecration.org).

• The Sisters of Charity of St Jeanne Antide will be organising a fundraising pasta buffet on Friday at the University Residence (opposite Lija Primary School).
