GALEA ZAMMIT. On October 4, CHARLES, aged 78, of St Julian’s, widower of Jane née Azzopardi, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Tania and her husband Paul Bonello, Natalie and her husband Michel Farrugia and Marco and his wife Johanna, his grandchildren Matthew, Martina, Michaela, Roberta, Gianni and Giulia, his sister Doris and her husband Norman Cassar, his beloved friend Mona Caruana, his in-laws Imelda and her husband Joe Attard and Josephine, widow of Charles Azzopardi, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 1.30pm for Balluta parish church, St Julian’s, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife May, his children Josette, wife of Paul Gambina, Ziana, spouse of Gerry Barrett, Moira, wife of Anthony La Ferla, Jennifer, wife of Emi Farrugia, Anne and John, Noel and his wife Marilde, Christopher and his wife Mariel, Jacqueline, wife of Mario Azzopardi, and Benny, his grandchildren Petra, Simon, Thomas, Karl, June, Karine, Justine, Aaron, Leon, Gaby, Kyle, Bettina, Andrea, Katrina, Dylan and Heather and his great grandchildren Julia, Emma, Sophie and Annika, his sisters Vicky Vidal and Margaret Micallef and his sister-in-law Annie Gauci, Edna and Edward, Donald and Kim, his carers Jay and Grace, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. LA FERLA. On October 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, RENATO, aged 87, of Sliema, widower of Mary Rose, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Alberta and her husband Michael, his son Vittorio and his wife Doreen, his granddaughters Michelle and her husband Kevin, Albertine and her husband Steven, Maria and Emma and his great-grandchildren Simon and Mark. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Aldo and his wife Rita, his sisters Annina and Yolanda, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MIGGIANI. On October 3, in Canada, ALFRED, aged 76, suddenly passed away, surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Luciana, daughters Laura and her husband, and Roberta, granddaughter Clara, brothers Victor and Mary Jane, Manuel, Tony, Charles and Carmen, Marianne and William Shaw, brother-in-law Emilio and Simone, nephews, nieces, family and friends. The funeral will take place in Canada but a Mass for the repose of his soul will be said on Thursday at 6pm at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex. God, grant him eternal life.
PHILIP. On October 4, ANN LENDON, 83, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons and daughter Andrew, Simon, Matthew and Rachel, grandchildren Rebecca, Luke, Sam and Clare. The funeral will take place at Mellieħa parish church on Wednesday at 2pm. Afterwards, the congregation is invited to Reflections pub for refreshments. May she rest in peace.
XERRI. On October 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, LUCY, née Bartolo, of Paola, aged 70, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband John, her sons Carmel and his wife Shirley and Alan and his wife Carol, her daughter Marita and her husband Patrick, her grandchildren Thelma, Tamsen, Ylenia and Wayne, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 7.45am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Żabbar cemetery.
