In a letter in The Sunday Times of Malta (September 21), John Guillaumier informs us: “When a species becomes extinct, it will never come into being again. It will vanish forever like an exploding star.”
So it will, Mr Guillaumier, so it will.
If the dinosaurs had not become extinct some 70 million years ago, we mammals would have not come into our own and there would have been no Sunday papers.
Of course, the dinosaurs became extinct due to natural causes and not at the hand of man, some would argue. But the bottom line is the same and the poor dinosaurs “disappeared like an exploding star”.
Stop worrying, Mr Guillaumier, God knows what He’s doing.
