Scotland’s distillery The Famous Grouse Experience has been shortlisted for two titles at the Scottish Event Awards, which will see it battling against some of Scotland’s most successful events suppliers.

The distillery has attracted nominations for best corporate event and best in-house event for its hosting of the recent royal visit and civic reception of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the end of May.

The royal couple were invited to reopen the distillery after it completed a £250,000 refurbishment programme. The visit received international media coverage, projecting the distillery’s event facilities across the globe.

Lesley Williamson, business development manager at the Experience, said: “This is exceptionally good news and the team here at the distillery is delighted. The team now has a nail-biting wait to find out whether we’ve won.”
