La Prairie’s Cellular Eye Essence Platinum Rare is the newest member of the brand’s Platinum collection of rejuvenators, created to transform the eye area.

A single drop of this lightweight, low-viscosity gel serum is a combination of La Prairie’s Cellular Complex, wrinkle-plumping peptides, lifters and tighteners, lighteners, hydrators, energisers, antioxidants and platinum, the namesake ingredient.

The gel features a powerful platinum peptide – a compound based on platinum particles – which helps enhance firmness, reduce the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes and improve skin elasticity and hydration.

The gel also contains colloidal platinum water to stabilise skin’s balance, as platinum’s natural antioxidant activity helps neutralise free radicals.

Other key ingredients include black tea ferment to help decrease glycation, thus allowing skin to remain firm; white bird of paradise extract to help restore luminosity, uneven skin tone and dark circles; a second skin protective patch to help diminish trans-epidermal water loss; and natural antioxidants to defend the eye area against future damage from free radicals.
