• The lift installer is responsible for ensuring that the lift is compliant with the applicable standards and regulations.
• The appointed administrator or lift owners must ensure that the lift is thoroughly examined and periodically inspected at specified intervals by an Authorised Conformity Assessment Body.
• Lifts made available for use before July 1, 2002 must be registered with the MCCAA by the administrator or owners.
• Lifts made available for use after July 1, 2002 must be registered by the lift installer.
