For the fourth year running, Junior Achievement (Young Enterprise) Malta Foundation (JA-YE Malta) will be offering entrepreneurship education to primary and secondary school-aged children in support of the National Curriculum.
While the definition of entrepreneurship refers to the process of starting up a business, in its broader sense, entrepreneurship is an assimilation of personal skills and traits that prove valuable in personal life and can facilitate the transition to work settings.
JA-YE Malta facilitates and delivers programmes that change mindsets in our society by enabling children and youths to experience, from a tender age, attitudes and qualities valid as life skills.
These include self-confidence, enthusiasm, motivation, responsibility, communication, critical thinking and problem solving. Parents of children attending primary or secondary schooling are invited to contact the organisation or the respective schools and ask about JA-YE Malta programmes.
JA-YE Malta, a member organisation of JA-YE Europe, is a growing NGO run by an employed team augmented by volunteers. The organisation has commissioned Konnekt Search & Selection to run the selection programme for the required programme coordinator, who would be responsible to facilitate interactive sessions with students.
The aim is to nurture abilities of cooperation, innovation, networking, pro-activity, competitiveness, independent thinking, communication, planning and social competence.
JA-YE is renowned for providing entrepreneurship education programmes at all levels of the educational system, particularly the Company Programme, a course that helps post-secondary students develop business-related soft skills.
