Notte Bianca will be ushered in tomorrow by a DJ jamming away from atop Porte des Bombes in Floriana, which will also be open to the public, artistic director Sean Buhagiar said today.

More than 100 recreational and educational activities are being held throughout the city, while museums will be open free of charge.

A special direct bus service will be organised to take people directly from Valletta back to their localities around the island. The cost will be €3 and people could use the ticket for the entire day.

There will also be a shuttle bus service from Valletta to Gudja, which will celebrate its festa tomorrow. The Gozo Channel will be berthing at the Valletta Cruise Port.

Asked if the weather could hinder plans, Mr Buhagiar said "the show must go on" and there were many indoor places one could visit if it rained.

Ambulances will be stationed at Merchant Street, Ordnance Street and Republic Street, intersecting with St Christopher Street, to be used for acute cases.

The police and the CPD will also be stationed in various areas. Parents are asked to attach a tag to their child’s wrist detailing the name and mobile number of the parents, in the event that the child gets lost.

The Valletta ring road will be open but all roads leading to the heart of Valletta will be closed except for residents.

Parking will be available at the Blata l-Bajda park and ride, Belt is-Sebħ and at the MCP car park.
