President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca met three centenarians when she visited Zejtun Home for the Elderly today.

They were Anthony Paul Bilocca, who will soon turn 102, Dolores Falzon, who is 100 years old and Frances Grima, is is also about to turn 100.

The President was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Justyne Caruana. They were given a warm welcome at the home.

President Coleiro Preca underlined the role of the elderly in society and the need to further promote solidarity in society.

Nathalie Briffa Farrugia, CEO of Caremalta, which runs the home, made a presentation of €11,000 to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
