The price of 12kg gas cylinders - the most popular - has been raised to €18 from €17.10c and fixed till the end of the year.
The Energy Ministry said gas prices will, on average, be €1.95ċ cheaper than in the same time of the year in 2012 and 30c cheaper than in the same time of the year last year.
The price of €17.10 had been set in April.

The ministry said its policy of price stability stemmed from the way it was working with the private sector.
The government was also working to help families, as also evidenced by the reduction of water and electricity rates and the stability in fuel prices, the ministry said.
