UPTON. On September 23, ALAN, aged 76, of Ta’ Xbiex, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital ITU, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Barbara, his Maltese family, and his many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Friday at 2pm for St John of the Cross church, Ta’ Xbiex, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by inter-ment at Santa Maria Addolo-rata Cemetery. No flowers please, but donations to Malta Cancer Foundation will be much appreciated. It would greatly please Alan and Barbara if those attending the funeral would wear colours. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Literature course
Malta University Holding Company Ltd in collaboration with the University’s Department of Maltese is holding a new course in Maltese literature. The course provides historical and literary know-ledge of the main Maltese writings, in the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.
