A man was today charged with stealing various items from a family warehouse in Żejtun.

Manuel Abela, 22, from Żejtun, insisted it was not him but the police said it was his own brother that had identified him on CCTV footage.

The thefts took place on July 26 and again on Monday night from the warehouse in Triq is-Sinsikalk.

He was also charged with breaching the conditions of the previous release because he was outside his house after the 10pm curfew imposed by the courts.

His request for bail was turned down and he was remanded in custody.

Police Inspectors Johann Fenech and Melvyn Camilleri prosecuted while lawyer Martin Fenech appeared for the accused.
