The heading of the item that appeared in the September 10 issue of Junior News, ‘Imaginary Angels’, merits an objection.

Although the word “imaginary” can also make reference to imaginative characterisation, the normal meaning is “lacking factual reality” or else “existing only in the imagination”.

This description fits well with examples such as mermen and frog princes. However, especially when compounded with “fantasy figures”, the term is surely unsuited for angels! Their representation may be imaginative but certainly not imaginary!
