Middlesex University Malta has welcomed the announcement that the Education Ministry is embarking on a programme and campaign to raise the standards of English language use in Malta.

The university said Maltese students at its campus in Pembroke have already displayed high levels of English language proficiency but it added that any investments to improve the use of English would most certainly be welcome.

Malta is home to Middlesex University’s third global campus. The university said: “As Malta continues to establish itself as an international hub of services, including education, English proficiency becomes even more critical in maintaining its growth and investment attractiveness.

“Middlesex University Malta commends the Ministry of Education for this initiative which will have a beneficial effect on all Maltese students.”
