Recently-formed alternative rock band Forty Days of Rain have just released their first single, Strings Left to Fray.

Although only officially formed in January, it is made up of experienced musicians whose names are familiar on the scene, with Patrick Harvey on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jonathan Magri (also known from his work with Rise) on bass guitar and backing vocals, Matthew Camilleri (formerly of Uncharted and Eve Ransom) on drums, and veteran musician Brendan Jackson on lead vocals and rhythm guitar.

Jackson is the former guitarist and songwriter of Scream Daisy and guitarist and vocalist of Eve Ransom.

Strings Left to Fray was recorded and produced by Boris Cezek and Kenny D’Ugo at ThreeSum Studios. It also features Annmarie Mayo on backing vocals.

Forty Days of Rain are currently busy working on other tracks. The musicians have already worked on 10 original numbers which they performed during a guest appearance at the Rookies Marathon in March to positive feedback.

The band is set to perform at a number of live gigs.
