President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca announced from London that socio-educational programmes will be set up in aid of young people who suffer from social exclusion with the help of the UK’s Prince’s Trust.

This will be the first time that the Trust, set up by Prince Charles, will be operating a project outside the UK, said CEO Martina Milburn.

With the support of HSBC Bank Malta, the programmes will help homeless and youths caught in criminal circles.

Ms Milburn highlighted success stories of youths who underwent similar programmes in the UK and eventually were given a new lease of life.
