Recently I was in the UK and needed to buy a box of Esomeprazole 40mg tablets. Knowing that medicine is not cheap in the UK, I expected to pay quite a bit for it.

So imagine my surprise when a box of 28 tablets cost a mere £7.29, when in Malta the same box costs €23.50.

The usual justification for the high prices locally is that Malta is a small market, but even allowing for that, such a huge difference surely cannot be justified.

Someone along the line is making a huge killing!
