The government is continuing to use illegal billboards for its public campaigns despite the Prime Minister’s declaration in May that they should be removed and the government would stop using them.

Pressed on the issue yesterday, Planning Parliamentary Secretary Michael Falzon at first categorically denied the government was using illegal billboards.

But when Times of Malta showed him a picture of one in Naxxar, being used by the government, he admitted it was illegal and conceded the government was making use of it.
