The centre of the village of Għajnsielem was transformed into a racetrack last Sunday, where spectators enjoyed an exciting series of kart races, with the route taking the drivers around the village square and streets.

Organised by the Island Karting Club, in collaboration with the local council, the event raised over €400 which were presented to Arka Foundation director, Mgr Emanuel Curmi.

The participating carts consisted of a mix of Junior Max, Senior Max, Formula 30, Super KF and Baby Karts.

Mgr Curmi and Għajnsielem councillor Larry Buttigieg presented prizes to the winners.
