• The Capuchin Friars of Victoria are celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Graces today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9am with the participation of the Chorus Fjur t’Assisi, under the direction of Marita Cassar. A pilgrimage with the participation of motorcycles and bicycles leaves Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary at 11.30am for the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces. On arrival, Fr Joe Libreri will bless participants and mementoes will be distributed. Solemn vespers led by Fr Libreri will start at 5.30pm, followed by Mass. A procession with the statue of Our Lady of Graces, led by Mgr Giovanni Bosco Cremona, accompanied by the Leone Band under the direction of Mro Colin Attard, starts at 7pm. The procession will end with the sacramental blessing at 10pm.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• The Gozo Live annual book fair is being held in the Girls Secondary School, Victoria, from October 16 to 18 in collaboration with the Gozo College. The organisers invite authors in Gozo to provide their books in Maltese and English for sale at the fair. For more information e-mail Gozo Live at gozolive2O18@gmail.com.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at St Francis church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm. Mass follows at midnight.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly will hold a charity sale today between 7am and 1pm at the football ground next to the Victoria main car park. Admission fee is €10 per space, payable on the day.
