An international conference entiled ‘The Grand Tour and Beyond’ will be held on September 25 and 26 at the University’s Valletta campus by the Institute of Anglo-Italian Studies.
During the conference, foreign and local scholars will present papers on the Grand Tour’s impact on important writers and artists in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
British writers, artists and scholars have drawn so extensively on Italian literature, art, architecture, painting and music that it is difficult to assess the impact of this influence.
The conference is open to scholars, students and the public.
