A Paola shopkeeper was unhurt this morning when shots were fired at his shop.

The police said the incident happened at about 5.30am in St Joseph Street.

The man, 55 was in his shop - a grocery -  when unknown person/s opened fire at the façade. Up to three shots were fired.

No one was injured.

Further investigations are underway while several experts have been appointed to assist in a magisterial inquiry.
