Reading the article about a catechist accused of defiling a boy (August 29), has left me wondering whether there is some new trend whereby people in the Church are being accused of these horrible things.

Hoping that this is indeed simply an accusation and not a reality, and it would be truly saddening if this turns out to be the reality, I would like to remind readers of the good that catechists and members of the Christian doctrine society, MUSEUM, have done in the past, still do and will, hopefully and by the grace of God, continue to do.

Thirteen years ago, on August 30, 2001, the young 26-year-old Antoine Randich, a member of the MUSEUM, gave his own life for some boys he was responsible for while at the beach on a summer trip to Gozo.
