Hospice Malta held its annual Children’s Summer Club with the support of the HSBC Malta Foundation. Children aged four to 12, who participated in a five-week programme under the guidance of Hospice Malta social worker Gloria Spiteri, were helped by a group of volunteers.

Hospice Malta’s summer club offers care and support to children with family members or guardians who are receiving Hospice Malta’s services. The club holds outings twice a week and children participate in various activities such as swimming, fun parks, cinema, cultural visits and craft sessions.

“The club, now in its 15th year, provides respite to families while children can socialise in a fun and friendly environment. This is made possible with the help of our dedicated volunteers who accompany the group and the foundation’s renewed support,” Spiteri said.

Hospice Malta is a voluntary, non-profit organisation offering palliative care for people with cancer, motor neurone disease, end-stage renal and respiratory diseases, and heart failure. Hospice Malta cares for over 900 patients and their families every year.
