Xagħra parish’s two-month summer club for children aged four to 13 has been concluded. The children took part in various activities including crafts, arts, cooking, physical education, drama and team-building activities. Various outings were also organised, including to Ġganitija Temples, Splash & Fun, a ride on a road train in Gozo and a visit to Blended Art Studio, Nadur.

The club participants also worked on two projects using mosaic and papier machè which focused on themes taken from the kurunella (chaplet) of Our Lady of the Nativity. Archpriest Carmelo Refalo displayed the projects in church during the Novena homilies for the children in preparation for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady.

To conclude the club all the children took part in a play written by Sharon Calleja called The Legend of Ogygia, which was performed on August 29 in Victory Square, Xaghra.
