Children aged between six and 15 are invited to take part in the 22nd Annual World Children’s Picture Contest organised by the IE-NO-HIKARI Association in Japan.

The competition is open to children from all over the world.In last year’s edition, a 13-year-old Maltese girl, Sarah Bulteel, received an honourable mention certificate for her picture.

This year’s theme is the environment and participants are to draw a picture related to agriculture, farming, nature, local people or people in the family environment. The picture may be created using any materials but should not be larger than 728mm by 515mm and not thicker than 3mm.

All local participants are to send their picture to the Office of the Commissioner for Children, 16/18, Tower Promenade, St Lucija, SLC 1019, by 1pm on September 12, to be sent to the organisers. On a separate sheet of paper, they should write the picture’s title, their name, age, date of birth, address and telephone number.
