This year’s second edition of the Children Cinema Day will take place on Saturday. Cinemas in Malta and Gozo will be offering a selection of 16 films at reduced admission prices.

The films include a variety of genres ranging from animation adventures and comedies, live action adventure, drama and a thriller.

Screenings at cinemas in Malta start at 9am and run until 7pm. In Gozo there will be two performances at 5pm and 8pm.

The prices of admission will be €2.50 for children and €4 for accompanying adults.

The 16 selected films to be shown include: The Boxtrolls; Into the Storm; The Nut Job; Planes 2: Fire & Rescue; Step Up 5: All in, Guardians of the Galaxy; Hercules; The House of Magic; Earth to Echo; Dawn of the Planet of the Apes; Transformers: Age of Extinction; How to Train your Dragon 2; Maleficent; Tarzan; Noah and Free Birds.

All films are distributed by KRS Releasing Limited. Participating cinemas are: Eden, St Julian’s; Embassy, Valletta; Empire, Buġibba; Tal-Lira, Fgura and Don Bosco Oratory, Gozo.
