Since the recent refurbishment of the Victoria bus terminus, three yellow concrete bumps have been placed close to the pavement. Whatever the reason, they have been frequent causes of accidents.
It’s not the first time that passengers have stumbled over them and had to be taken to the nearby clinic or sometimes even to hospital by ambulance because of the injuries sustained. Employees at the terminus can testify to their frequency.
It’s true that there are notices warning passengers not to step down from the pavement but, apparently, these are not being observed with the resulting injuries.
The fact that accidents are frequently taking place shows that the bumps are a health hazard and the transport authority should have them removed.
