An Għadira nature reserve warden has claimed "intimidation and harassment" after police officers yesterday showed up to question him after rescuing a flamingo chick from Paradise Bay.

Ray Vella, who oversees the protected Natura 2000 site, was surprised to find out police officers from the Administrative and Law Enforcement section went to his home yesterday morning to speak to him.

The bird landed in the bay at around 11.45am much to the surprise of bathers. Tired but in good health, it moved close to the deckchairs where it was quickly caught by Mr Vella.
