The US ambassador to Libya Deborah Jones, who is operating from Malta because of the crisis in the north African state, this morning paid a courtesy visit on Foreign Minister George Vella.

She was accompanied by Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, the US ambassador to Malta.

The situation in Libya and how it was evolving daily was discussed during the meeting.
