AMATO. On August 31, JOSETTE, née Muscat, aged 56, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Edward and her children Michael and Angie, her mother Ethel and her mother-in-law Erminia Amato, her brother Claude and his wife Marcelle, her sisters Mary and her husband Godfrey Mangion, Monique and her husband Gerard Zammit, her brother-in-law Michael Balzan, widower of her sister Louise, and Felicity Muscat, widow of her brother Pierre, her brother-in-law George Amato and his wife Gillian, her sisters-in-law Helen, wife of Colin Tabone, Madeleine, wife of Brian Hladnik and Mary, wife of Jonathan Muscat, her many nephews and nieces, her cousins and her numerous friends, her dedicated carers Love Allyn and Dexter. The funeral cortège leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, today at 1.15pm for Qrendi parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm. Private burial will take place at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be very much appreciated. The family would like to thank Hospice Malta and Josette’s friends for their invaluable support during her illness. The family regret that they are unable to receive any visitors. BRINCAT. On September 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, AMELIA of Paola, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Pierre and his wife Jacqueline and Tania, widow of Oliver Cauchi, her grandchildren Owen and Ryan and his girlfriend Katarina, her sister Polly Zarb, her brother Wallace Zarb and his wife, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Anthony church, Għajn Dwieli, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. DARMANIN. On September 1, LAWRENCE of Attard aged 57 passed away peacefully at Boffa Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Jose’Anne, his children Andre, Rebecca and her husband Raniero, his grandchildren Maia and Serina, his mother Rita Darmanin, his mother-in-law Rose Spiteri, his brother Francis X. Darmanin and his sister Marian Ellul, brother-in-law Marco Spiteri and their respective families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for St Mary’s parish church Attard, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetry. De MARTINO. On September 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN, aged 30, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and never failing dedication of his family and relatives, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He is deeply missed by his parents Giovanni and Maria, his siblings Mark and Rita, aunties, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3.30pm for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm. Burial will take place at Mosta cemetery in the family tomb. DESANTIS. On August 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, GIOVANNA née Solazzo, passed away peacefully, aged 87. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Agnes Mangani and husband Manuel, Jane widow of her brother Alfred Solazzo, her niece Jennifer Hill and nephews Joe Mangani, Fred and Robert Solazzo and their respective families, her cousins and their families, all her friends and her carer Gloria. GERA. On September 1, MARYANNE née Asciak known as Annie, of Sliema and residing in Gżira, aged 85, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she is sadly missed by her beloved husband Alfred, ex-BOV Branch Manager, her beloved children Ray and his wife Thelma, Marlene and her husband Charles Farrugia, Chris and his wife Edith and Maria. She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren Edwina, Eliza, Trudy, Paula, Matthew, Ingrid and their respective fiancés, her sister Margaret Asciak, her brothers Joe Asciak and his wife Lina, Alfred Asciak and his wife Lillian both from Australia, their respective families, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his great loss his daughter Lillian and her husband Leli, his daughter Carmen and her husband John, his son Joe, and his ex wife Sally Bonello, his grandchildren Antoine, Carlo, Claudette, Mariella, Joseph, Stephen, Robert, Marquita and Nicky, their respective spouses, his great-grandchildren, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. Deeply mourned by his beloved wife Sandra née Mifsud, his daughter Maria and his sons, Ian and Paul, his father Lawrence and his sisters Josephine, Nathalie, Marvic, Anna and their spouses, his parents-in-law John and Kathleen Mifsud his in-laws, Robert, Louis and Christine and their spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends and colleagues.
