Two men and a pregnant woman were this morning granted bail after they pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin and cocaine in amounts that denoted it was not for their personal use.

Rosario Cortis, 31, of Qormi and Carmel Muscat, 40, of Siggiewi were granted bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €4,000.

Erika Vella, 27, of Gzira, was granted bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €5,000.

She was also charged with possession of cannabis.

Mr Muscat also pleaded not guilty to being a relapser.

Lawyers Franco Debono and Marion Camilleri represented the accused. Ms Vella was also represented by lawyer Kathleen Grima
