Ray Bondin was the only foreign guest during three days of meetings held in Troina, Sicily, in connection with the foundation of a new university. One of the days was dedicated to discussions about changes needed in Sicily and this was done in the presence of Sicilian Region president Rosario Crocetta.

The first day of the meeting was a closed session of the Comitato dei Saggi, which will lead the new university. This meeting was chaired by Dr Bondin.

On the second day, around 70 students, all Sicilian, attended a one day seminar, chaired by Prof. Gaetano Zito of the University of Catania.

The third day coincided with the 92nd birthday of Padre Luigi Ferlauto, who founded the Oasi Foundation to help disabled people in every way. The foundation is based in Troina, a city renowned mainly for being the capital of Count Roger for 30 years.
