The Archery Association of Malta will be holding elections on September 10 following the resignation of the Executive Committee earlier this month, the Maltese Olympic Committee said in a statement yesterday.

President John Schembri, treasurer Brian Micallef and membership secretary Edgar Formosa all stepped down from their posts on August 5, citing personal reasons.

The MOC said that consequently, the Archery Association of Malta no longer has a committee to represent its membership and no caretaker committee was formed to hold a General Meeting.

“The Maltese Olympic Committee has entrusted its secretary general, Joseph Cassar, with the responsibility of calling a general meeting with the objective of electing a committee/council for the Archery Association of Malta,” the statement said.

“This meeting will be held at the MOC headquarters at the University Sports Complex on Wednesday, September 10 at 19.00.”

Elections will be held for the posts of president, secretary, membership secretary, treasurer, PRO, scores, records officer and range manager.

Nominations must be submitted by hand by not later than September 3 at noon at the MOC premises.
