A Maltese family's home was damaged in yesterday's earthquake in California but no Maltese was injured, the Foreign Ministry said.

It said enquiries had been made by the Maltese Consul General in San Francisco, Louis J.Vella.

The consul is in contact with Maltese families and has offered assistance, the ministry said.

The 6.0 earthquake rocked the Napa wine county north of San Francisco, injuring dozens of people, damaging historical buildings, setting some homes on fire and causing power outages.
