Times of Malta ran a piece the other day about what dog owners should try to achieve in training their dogs but it omitted to mention what is by far the most selfish and irritating common fault of some dog owners.
I refer, of course, to the practice of putting their dogs out on a balcony or patio every evening and allowing them to bark continuously, thus spoiling the peace for all their neighbours.
In the UK, local councils are able to take action following complaints under the Noise Abatement Act.
