Pjazza San Ġuzepp in Qala has been repaved with porfido paving slabs. The square’s central feature is a circular wind direction compass made out of differently coloured granite slabs. The project was designed by architect Edward Scerri and carried out by the village council. Qala parish, which owns the land, gave its consent for the project, which was part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Gozo Ministry. Minister Anton Refalo and Qala mayor Clint Camilleri were among those present for the inauguration of the project.
