The Qormi Wine Festival, including a contest for amateur vintners, will be held on September 5 and 6.

The festival, now in its 10th year will feature food, entertainment, and, of course, lots of wine.

On September 5, the band led by Mro. Mark Spiteri Lucas will hit the main stage just after 9pm with a concert featuring Ludwing Galea, Chiara, Eleonor Cassar and Neville Refalo. The following day, Claudia Faniello and her band will rock the festival with popular tunes, pop classics and other summer hits.

Local lads from the band PlanZero will warm up the crowd from 8pm. PlanZero will feature their hit track ‘Shooting Star’ and other massive tunes. Other bands performing during this festival include Maltin Biss and DBanned.

This annual event will once again present a wide selection of local red, white and rosé wines of several grape varieties, provided by Marsovin.

Separate wine stalls will be set up alongside Main Street Qormi, with the St George’s Parish Church acting as a fitting backdrop to the typical festive setting.

There will be stalls featuring traditional Maltese cuisine.
