It has been 30 years since Wes Craven directed A Nightmare on Elm Street. To mark this anniversary, Euro Media Forum and Vintage Boutique are organising an event at The Sofa Cinema at University Msida Campus on Friday at 8.30pm.

The 1984 cult film introduced the world to Freddy Krueger (Richard Englund), the horribly scarred man with the ragged slouch hat and the iconic metal gloves with knives at the tips.

Guest speaker Krista Bonello Rutter Giappone will lead the audience into a greater appreciation of this horror film and discuss how it intelligently probes into the audience’s fear of nightmares and combines it with another horrific element – that of killers roaming around one’s own street.

There will be a film quiz, with the opportunity to win cinema tickets and a free pizza meal for two.

Limited seating is available. For bookings send an e-mail to euromediaforum@gmail.com or an SMS to 9905 2482, or log on to www.facebook.com/Euro.Media.Forum.
