I cannot understand why suddenly it has become fashionable to refer to assisted suicide as assisted dying.

The very word ‘assist’ means to help. So in fact one is helping someone take his own life at his request.

That is suicide.

Let us call a spade a spade and not fluff over the reality of the act of assisted suicide.
