Misleading advertising

German customers of Lidl who take up the main offer presented on their inhouse publication would be disappointed. For the photo is of St Paul’s Bay in Lindos, not Malta, a few hundred miles away.

Obstacle course

Malta’s pavements are already challenging enough – adding piles of rubbish to the hurdle race is really unnecessary. Despite several signs and an efficient collection system in Sliema, some people in the Depiro Street neighbourhood persist with this inconsiderate behaviour. Time for some serious fines.

Job vacancy: Proofreader

Those in charge of directional signs in Buġibba should engage a professional proofreader? Does anyone check the spelling before such signs leave the workshop? The sign should read: Buġibba Salt Pans, not Salts!

Reserved parking for the holidays

St Paul’s Bay is a locality where residents struggle to find a parking space, especially in the summer. However, one lucky resident with connections (unless spots are up for sale?) has been granted a reserved space June-Sept in front of his summer home in St Publius Street. Since when is a reserved spot for the holidays a right?
