• For the third consecutive year in Żebbuġ, Gozo, a pryromusical by the Lily Fireworks of Mqabba will be held on Saturday from 9.45pm, on the eve of the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady.

The theme chosen for this year is once again ‘Sky concert’, and the display will feature various ground and aerial pyrotechnic effects blended and synchronised to well-known musical scores.

A ground fireworks display will follow in Żebbuġ Square. This was made possible thanks to the collaboration between the St Mary Fireworks Group of Żebbuġ, Gozo and the Lily Fireworks of Mqabba. On Sunday, the Lily Fireworks will provide a traditional fireworks display starting at 7pm. More information at www.talgilju.com.

• The Life and Work of Lewis Wirth (1923-2010) & Helen Cavarra (1926-1978), their creative partnership, a book by Joseph Paul Cassar launched in July, is available at Auberge d’Italie in Merchants Street, Valletta, and at Agenda bookstores and A. C. Aquilina booksellers.

The launch of this Melitensia book coincides with the Wirth-Cavarra art exhibition curated by E. V. Borg at Auberge d’Italie, which runs until tomorrow.
