Last Tuesday, Maltapost tried to deliver our new e-ID cards but we were not at home.

Instead, a note was left in our letter box informing us that an attempt to deliver the cards was made and as we were not available a second attempt would be made over the next working days, including Saturday.

We tried to contact Maltapost customer care several times to try to find out when this next attempt was going to be made but we could not get through.

Are we now expected to stay at home and wait (including on Saturday) for the delivery? Was it that difficult to include on the note when the other attempt was going to be made?
