The Visitation Band of Għarb recently presented the annual symphonic concert on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of the Visitation, celebrated in Għarb. The band, under the baton of George Apap, performed works by Schmidt, Strauss, Gregson-Williams, De Haan, Morali, Pharrell Williams and O’Loughlin. The concert ended with the Cantata Alla Visitazione, composed by Cardenio Botti with the participation of the band’s choir and tenor Charles Vella Zarb. The concert was held under the patronage of Anton Refalo, Minister for Gozo, who also inaugurated the main hall of the band’s new premises later on during the evening.
