A book that brings together a number of papers on postmodern issues in politics, ethics and education, Does it Matter Who Speaks?, reflects Kenneth Wain’s lifelong professional interest in the areas mentioned in the title, as well as his deep involvement with writers collectively referred to as postmodernists.

The papers are based on rough scripts or notes prepared for talks given in public lectures, seminars and conferences and were not at the original time of composition intended for publication. Though they had to be rewritten and are, therefore, much more polished than in the original version, they still manage to preserve much of the freshness of the live performance and this is one of their attractions.

Among the thinkers discussed we find Richard Rorty, John Dewey, Michel Foucault, Friedrich Nietzsche and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

Does it Matter Who Speaks? is published by Malta University Press and is on sale at leading bookshops.
