Liga team Skandeborg, who finished eighth in the 16-team Danish top division last season, will be doing their summer training camp here next week.

Skandeborg will be using this pre-season get-together to continue with their aim of creating better cohesion between the young players and the more experienced ones and also to get ready for the new season where they want to push harder for a European spot.

During their stay, Skandeborg will also play a friendly against the Maltese national team. The match is scheduled for Thursday evening at the University Sports Hall.

The link between Skandeborg and their visit to Malta was Daniel Tanti, the Maltese player who turned up for Skovbakken in the Danish league last season.

Tanti also had a few training sessions with Skandeborg where he met trainer Aksel Noorgard, an old acquaintance of him and his brother Joseph from an Aarhus Sports High School experience.
