A collective agreement has been signed for all university lecturers. It was recently reported that lecturers at the medical school were being offered one-year contracts, which was almost precarious employment.

So how is it that lecturers on a pension are given one-year contracts?

The university should leave space for new faces who could lecture for a full academic year as some of these pensioners are not available on campus during the year.
