FENECH. On August 12, JOSEPH DOMINIC, passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. Deeply missed by his beloved wife Mary, née Fenech and cherished by his loving children Alexander, Elaine and Salvino Mifsud Bonnici, and Marie Louise and her husband Gordon Theobald. He leaves to mourn his great loss his siblings May, Carmen, Pio, Lora, Frances and Alfred, his in-laws, nieces, nephews, their children, other relatives and the many friends who crossed his path. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 8.30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, St Julian’s, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, and the Poor Clares, St Julian’s, will be appreciated.The family appreciate the care given by the consultants and staff at St James Hospital, and the IDU and SW4 wards, Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FRENDO. On August 13, JOSEPH, of Paola and residing in Sliema, aged 79, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Ċettina, his children Raymond and his wife Carmen, Franco and his wife Nathalie, grandchildren Martina and her boyfriend Noel, Nicole, Matthias, Derica, Lindsey, his brother and sisters, in laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Sacred Heart parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but don-ations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

HARDING. On August 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIAN, née West, aged 85, and on August 13, at home, Chief Justice Emeritus Professor HUGH HARDING, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. They leave to mourn their sad loss their children Karin and her husband Gerard Spiteri Maempel, Rhona and her husband Nicholas Samut-Tagliaferro, and David, and their grandchildren Francesca and her husband Thomas Schwalbe, Federica, Ella, Sarah, John and Julian, Marian’s brother David and his wife Ursula, her sister Irene and John, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, August 16 at 9am for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant them eternal rest. Not even in death did they part.

MIFSUD BONNICI. On August 13, ANTOINETTE, (known as Ines), née Mangion, aged 89, widow of Carmel of Ħamrun, residing at St Vincent de Paul, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her seven children, Richard and his wife Vicky, Dorothy, widow of Mark Anastasi, Martin and his wife Doris, Miriam and her husband Lolly Camilleri, Marco and his wife Silvana, Joanne and her husband Benny Spiteri and Noel and his wife Irene, her sister Rose and her husband Charles, in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul on Saturday, August 16, at 8am for St Francis Church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be held at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave a Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. QUINN. On August 6, PATRICK JOSEPH, aged 78, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Bernadette, née Anastasi, his children Vincent, Peter, Maria Marriott, step-daughter Alexandra Andrews and their spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place on Monday, August 18 at Oakham, Rutland, UK. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

SAYDON. On August 13, MARION, née Vella Bonavita, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph Henry, her daughter Christina and her husband Jacques, her son Henry, her beloved grandson Max, her brother Charles, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, August 16 at 8.45am for St Theresa Sanctuary, Valley Road, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.15am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
