Forza Horizon 2 is the anticipated Xbox game that adds plenty of speed to the Forza Motorsports series. It’s the sequel to Forza Horizon and continues the same kind of experience. If you like driving games, exotic cars, realistic racing and lots of action, you’ll love this.

Scheduled for a September 30 launch, the game is built around the Horizon festival, a fictional racing exhibition based in southern Europe that pitches various cars against each other in all kinds of races. It builds on the 1000 Club from Forza Horizon and includes two lists of challenges for players to complete.

Forza Horizon 2 uses an open world with day and night cycles and a dynamic weather system to add gusto to the racing action. The Xbox 360 version is being developed by Sumo Digital, while the Xbox One version is being made by Playground Games. Both are being overseen by original Forza Horizon developer Turn 10 Studios.

The highlight of any racing game is the cars you get to drive. In this, the Forza series excels. So far, only a partial list of vehicles has been released for Forza Horizon 2. However, that’s already 100 out of a total of 211, including the 2010 Aston Martin One-77, 2013 Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus 5.2 FSI Quattro, 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari, 2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan, 2014 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, 2010 Lexus LFA, and 2013 SRT Viper GTS.

If Forza Horizon 2 continues the immersive gaming experience of its predecessors while leveraging the power of Xbox One, it’s going to be a hit. Fortunately, we don’t have long to find out.
