Members from the brass and percussion section of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra gave an energetic and pulsating performance to the delight of an audience of Maltese and in-house guests of The Palace hotel, Sliema.

The national orchestra, under the direction of Spanish horn player Jose García Gutiérrez, played to the tunes and arias of great musical composers Frank White, Ludwig van Beethoven, Lloyd Webber and Giuseppe Verdi.

After the concert, guests were treated to a buffet at The Tabloid restaurant at The Palace.

“We are extremely pleased to have hosted the prestigious Malta Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time at The Palace,” said Kevin Callus, The Palace and The Victoria hotels’ manager.

“The repertoire, together with the food, were an excellent combination welcomed by the hotel and Maltese guests who attended the evening.”
